What information do we collect about you?
We collect only the information required from your Golf Club to be able to fulfil our contractual obligations regarding membership to the NGCAA. This includes being able to contact you to provide advice and to send you a subscription renewal notice and for you to receive the monthly newsletter. We hold no personal data on file other than that of the name, email address and telephone numbers of the Golf Clubs point of contact i.e. the secretary, manager and/or Chairman who contacts us when our services are required.
You may have volunteered further information in relation to these services, such as your mobile number, which will be retained as part of our administrative process but not used for any purpose other than for which it was volunteered. You may, of course, ask us to remove this information once your query has been answered.
How the information about you will be used.
We use the information collected to allow us to fulfil our contractual obligations to you as a member which will include contacting you in the provision of advice and by post, telephone and email. We share your information with external data processors who administer our membership database and enquiry system but your Golf Club and personal data is controlled internally by the NGCAA’s data protection officer who adheres to our internal data protection policy and procedures.
We prefer to collect subscriptions via a direct debit service provided by an external processor to keep costs down to our members. If you have filled out a direct debit mandate this will be kept securely on file by the NGCAA whilst the direct debit is administered by an external processor.
We will continue to correspond with you regarding our activities including workshops and presentations by way of post, telephone and email. If you are a non-member you may have voluntarily signed up to receive our monthly newsletter through our website. We don’t share your data with external marketing companies who would contact you this way and you can opt out of this communication at any time by contacting us on [email protected] or unsubscribing through the link on the email.
