Golf Buggy Safety Policy

Clubs have a duty of care to all users of the golf course and has to ensure safe use of golf buggies. This guidance note outlines certain conditions which must be followed by all members, visitors and guests.

Reasonable Adjustments

It would appear that many clubs still ban the use of buggies to disabled golfers when the course is wet. Many of these clubs have not completed the process of assessing the course and making reasonable adjustments.

Using Buggies on the Golf Course

The use of buggies on golf courses is becoming increasingly common. For many Clubs, it is simply to comply with their obligations in respect of persons with a disability under the terms of the Equality Act 2010.
