The Good Work Plan

We reported in July 2017 on the Taylor Review of Modern Working Practices, which focused upon addressing “gig” economy and agency workers (July 2017 Article link: https://bit.ly/2Ryrhwg)

The government has now responded to the Taylor Review, following consultation, with the publication of a policy paper called the ‘Good Work Plan’ which sets out its vision for the future of the UK labour market and how it intends to implement the recommendations arising from the Taylor Review of Modern Working Practices.

As we highlighted in our July 2017 article, some of the proposed changes will be of particular interest to golf clubs, since there may be a portion of the workforce engaged on what could be viewed as “gig” economy contracts – an example would be "casual" bar and catering staff.
